A couple of new Assignments

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been so busy the last month with assignments for Craft Warehouse. We also took time to celebrate my 27th birthday, took the boys on a road trip to Corvallis to visit Oregon State (Go Beavs!) and a trip to the zoo. Now that things have settled down I wanted to share what I have been working on.

Here is one of the several assignments that I finished for Craft Warehouse. I was to use the wood blocks and the new monster line of paper from Daisy Bucket Designs and create something for a child's room. I decided to spell out one of my sons names and go from there....
I inked each block a different color that coordinates with the line of paper. I then cut out 4 of the different monsters from the paper and added glossy accents to them. I also added the movable eyes. I used the 3" chipboard letters and painted them black and painted the edge with the smooch pearlized ink. I also edged each of the papers...I just love the look it gives when it is on the blocks.
I also had to find pictures where his clothing matched the colors on the blocks....My husband says I am way to picky...LOL.

On the top two blocks I added stickles to chipboard/grungeboard the same color as the block. On the bottom two I used thickers to spell out "love" and "OSU"

On the back side, On two of them I made pockets and stamped the monster and different papers and added a tag with journaling. On the other two, I stamped sayings and added glossy accents over them and edged around the circles.

I really love how these turned out. It was a lot of fun to do something besides pages. The next two assignments were going to be things that were running in the August ad. I was to make the example for the store basically the same design that was in the ad. The first was a Welcome canvas that I pretty much made exactly like the picture given to me. It used fancy pants papers.

The next one was a baby picture frame. The one in the ad was for a baby girl, but since I have two boys, I changed the line of paper (from fancy pants to Basic Grey-Wisteria) and also made a few small changes here and there, nothing to big though.

There are a few more assignments I will add during the next couple of days. Hope you like the new projects, let me know what you think!
