New layouts

This is a mothers day layout that I made for the Craft Warehouse scrapbook club challenge. I used the new Basic Grey - Wisteria line. The challenge was to use stamps on the layout. I stamped the flowers and popped up the middle and used them as "o's" to complete my title. I used three different sized flower stamps in completing the flowers at the top of the picture. (I also had to cut each one of these out! What that means is that there had to be no, and i mean no, white space on the outside of these flowers.) There is a lot of layering and distressing. I used the making memories edge distresser around each of the papers, which trust me, is a lot easier than trying to use scissors!

This is a layout of our first family trip to the beach! The flourishes are Tim Holtz grungeboard with distress stickles. (Thanks for the idea Danella!) I used crackle paint, distress ink, and distress stickles on the lettering, and used fragments to highlight the journaling. I also stamped on the strip on paper behind the word beach and used an ink blending tool to add some walnut stain distess ink over it. The "netting" was ribbon I found and then inked. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. One of my favorite layouts that I have done.
