Innie and Outtie frames for Craft Warehouse

I was asked to design two "innie and outtie" frames for Craft Warehouse using two new lines of paper. An innie and outtie frame is where you have your flat items (such as paper and pictures) under the glass and your 3-D embellishment on top of the glass.

The first one that I did was using a new line of paper from My Minds Eye. This is what I had on top of the glass...Thickers spelling out part of the title, ribbon ( I used a die cut circle and then stapled the ribbon to it to keep the shape), buttons, and jewels.

On the inside of the frame, I had the paper, the pictures, part of the title, and some paper embellishments.

here it is all put together! I really love how it turned out. It is of my son playing peek-a-boo with his Uncle Aaron's hat.

The second one that I did was using a wood frame and the new line abbey road. I had to not only do a page but also decorate the frame! I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I absolutely love it!
I used the edge distresser on all the papers and then cut out the smaller green pieces to go around the frame and stenciled on lines to look like I sewed on it. I kept the page pretty simple. The ribbon, buttons, trees, dinosaur and "just the" & "of us" are on top of the glass. The paper, picture, journaling card and "two" of the title are underneath. This picture was taken about a year ago,and it is still one of my favorites.

Make N' Take

Here it is....the make n' take for the last Saturday in August for Craft Warehouse. I was really nervous to make it because I want everyone to love it. I would love to design more make n' takes, it was a lot of fun. Hope you like it!

This is the version that everyone gets to make! It is using the new Basic Grey line - June Bug. You get to punch out 9 squares, stamp the star image and color it in using smooch, and you get to choose a letter. There is also ribbon and buttons for embellishments.

This is my finished version, where I added some extra embellishments and journaling. Let me know what you think!

Sports Canvas

At Craft Warehouse they needed a 12X12 sports canvas and this is what I came up with. I got the idea for the layout from a gallery on scrapbook.com. I did the square on the inside 10X10 and then added the borders around that square. I love dimension on my page, so I also popped up different squares around the page. I made the baseball on the bottom left square. I took a round piece of chipboard, painted it white, and then glued fiber ribbon down, and then colored it red with a marker. I loved the way it turned out! I also die-cut the baseball player at Craft Warehouse. On the chipboard star, I painted it white, and then wrote "little league" all the way around it and topped it off with a baseball button in middle. Amber provided me with the pictures of her son....I love the one where he is resting his hands and head on the bat! There is also a few stickers and star jewels to top it off!

Some Exciting News!

I was asked to design the Make N' Take for Craft Warehouse the last Saturday in August. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I really want to design something that everybody will love. As soon as I have it finished, I will post it and you can let me know what you think!

More to Share

Here are a couple more of the assignments that I have been working on for Craft Warehouse. I had a lot of fun with this hanging sign. It comes two in a pack so I decided to string them together and make a sign for the bedroom door to the boys' room. I used the monster paper by Daisy Bucket Designs.

On the top of the sign, I wrote "Alex and Derek's room" in thickers and added a couple of monsters that I cut out from the paper. I tore the paper at the top and then had a monster popping out of it! I just love it! On the bottom sign I added a hook and made two signs: 1 that said "Shh...sleeping" and the 2nd says "playtime" To make the signs, I painted chipboard black and then stamped the border in white. After I cut it out, I added the letters and then painted some of them using smooch.

Another assignment was to make another set of blocks (using different sizes) and the new line from Basic Grey - Lemonade. I decided to use our engagement pictures because it matched the paper so well.

On the big block, I added a rub-on across the picture and then added ladybug rub-ons on the buttons.

One of the smaller blocks spells LOVE around it and the second small block has a picture, our wedding date and it says "soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Cohen"

A couple of new Assignments

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been so busy the last month with assignments for Craft Warehouse. We also took time to celebrate my 27th birthday, took the boys on a road trip to Corvallis to visit Oregon State (Go Beavs!) and a trip to the zoo. Now that things have settled down I wanted to share what I have been working on.

Here is one of the several assignments that I finished for Craft Warehouse. I was to use the wood blocks and the new monster line of paper from Daisy Bucket Designs and create something for a child's room. I decided to spell out one of my sons names and go from there....
I inked each block a different color that coordinates with the line of paper. I then cut out 4 of the different monsters from the paper and added glossy accents to them. I also added the movable eyes. I used the 3" chipboard letters and painted them black and painted the edge with the smooch pearlized ink. I also edged each of the papers...I just love the look it gives when it is on the blocks.
I also had to find pictures where his clothing matched the colors on the blocks....My husband says I am way to picky...LOL.

On the top two blocks I added stickles to chipboard/grungeboard the same color as the block. On the bottom two I used thickers to spell out "love" and "OSU"

On the back side, On two of them I made pockets and stamped the monster and different papers and added a tag with journaling. On the other two, I stamped sayings and added glossy accents over them and edged around the circles.

I really love how these turned out. It was a lot of fun to do something besides pages. The next two assignments were going to be things that were running in the August ad. I was to make the example for the store basically the same design that was in the ad. The first was a Welcome canvas that I pretty much made exactly like the picture given to me. It used fancy pants papers.

The next one was a baby picture frame. The one in the ad was for a baby girl, but since I have two boys, I changed the line of paper (from fancy pants to Basic Grey-Wisteria) and also made a few small changes here and there, nothing to big though.

There are a few more assignments I will add during the next couple of days. Hope you like the new projects, let me know what you think!
