I used the kaiser craft hanging wall project and did it for their first birthday party. I die cut the word "birthday" from the glossy paper and then used green alcohol ink to color it. I cut out the circle from one of the papers and added the word "1st" in the middle of it and then put the fragment over the top to create my title. (The clear tag is hanging on the back and says "love mommy and daddy" because it was made for them) I used chipboard to write out Sept 20, 2008 and then added red crackle paint to it. I also used glossy accents all over everything. I loved this project and it is hanging up in the boy's bedroom. I want to do more projects like this so people will see them when they come over to the house. Let me know what you think!

My "Challenge" for Scrapbook Club
Every month at Craft Warehouse they have a scrapbook club, and at the end of club they give you a "challenge" using a couple of different products and then the next month you bring whatever you made back and share it with everybody. This time we were given a glossy piece of cardstock, a fragment, and a clear tag....we had to use those pieces AND use alcohol ink somewhere on the project. I decided to do something different and here it what I came up with:

2nd assignment for Craft Warehouse
I was asked to make two cards using the new Stampendous stamps that Craft Warehouse was carrying. Here is what I came up with:
The first card I used the monkey stamp and stamped it on light brown paper and cut it out (3 times). I then stamped it again on dark brown paper and just cut out the belly and popped it up. I then took ribbon that has furry patches on it and just cut out the furry part and glued it on the belly. I also used 2 large eyelets and then ran thick string through it to make a 4 lines. I added the leaves that matched the background paper and used stickers to say "let's hang." (I also added glossy accents over the stickers to make sure that they would stay attached.)
For the second card I had two stamps to use. The first one was the two monkeys blowing bubbles. I decided that instead of just using the stamped image I would add different elements to it. I stamped the image again on light and dark brown paper and cut the monkey's out and popped up the bellies. I then cut the handle out of the monkeys hand and replaced it with a little one that I made out of wire. I also didn't use the bubbles that were a part of the stamp. I cut these bubbles out using the die cut machine, added glossy accents, and then placed them where they were on the stamp. I then cut out a bigger circle, used the stamp that said "Hope your day bubbles over with fun" and put it with the other bubbles.
4th of July
We went over to my parents house for a bbq and to watch fireworks. When we went outside the neighbors had some of the "good" ones, so we sat down and enjoyed the show. Derek LOVED every second of it. He would watch it fly into the air and then when it went off, he pointed and laughed and then would jump up and down. It was so fun to watch. At the beginning Alex would run over to me and hide his face, but towards the end he started to get into it. I couldn't have asked for a better night.

Wedding Mini Album
This is the wedding mini album I made for craft warehouse using the new making memories line. I got to use a lot of fun embellishments throughout it. I LOVE how it turned out.

On the front page I used the Tim Holtz numbers for our wedding date. I also used the new Heidi Swapp mirrors and added rub ons over them. I love the paper, it is die cut flowers and I added a patterned paper behind it so the flowers looked designed.
On these pages I used Tim Holtz fragments...On the groom page I stamped the memories for journaling and then drilled holes through the fragments so they would dangle down. I also used the new Tim Holtz mini stapler to gather the ribbon! It was a lot of fun experimenting with all of these products.
These pages I kept pretty simple because the pictures were so big. I LOVE these pictures. I used some of the glitter alphabet stickers from making memories and some pins and ribbon.
On the "timeless" page the paper had circles all over it. I decided to use a punch and I filled in the circles using all of the different patterned paper that was in the line. I also used white crackle paint on the letters and then used the same technique on the circle that I did on the numbers for the clock. I painted it white and then stamped an image over it. Wherever the image ended up, I added silver embossing powder.
On these pages I used a lot of different papers and border punches. On the page of us kissing, I added the rub on over the picture and then used silver stickles over it, to make it stand out.
On the page on the left (Chinese tea ceremony) I used grungeboard swirls and added silver stickles over them. I also used pearls and jewels to make a circle around me serving tea to my new mother-in-law.

Left page: I used a journaling page and punched holes and threaded ribbon through it. I also used a pink flower mirror from Heidi Swapp and added a small run on.

This is the last page of the album. I used a large mirror and added "Mr. and Mrs." rub on. Then I used the Tim Holtz grungeboard letters and painted them white and embossed them with silver Zing to spell out "cohen."

Finished my first assignment for Craft Warehouse!
I had to make a layout and 2 cards using the new travel line from making memories. For the layout I used a picture of my mother and father In- Law from a trip to Hawaii. I distressed all of the papers, Stamped the Hawaiian flowers and popped them up, and added a few embellishments.
Card #1: I used Tim Holtz fragments to highlight "thank u" and then folded up the corner and added some ribbon
Card #2: I embossed Hawaiian flowers along the bottom of the card, then added paper and ribbon. I topped it off with 2 chipboard flowers that I embossed.
I am just starting to make cards, and I think they turned out pretty well. They take me a little longer than they probably should...but hopefully as I make more, it will come easier to me.

Fathers Day

I absolutely love this picture of Adam and the boys on father's day. It is so hard to get a picture of the boys together AND looking at the camera. Right before their bedtime, they climbed up on couch with Adam and just started smiling, so I ran and grabbed the camera and had a little photo shoot! He is such a great dad...really hands on and the kids adore him.
